Outlines eligibility criteria necessary for Kentucky Medication Assistant certification
All candidates applying to take the Medication Assistant Certification Examination in Kentucky MUST complete an Application for Registration by Competency Examination form in the Credentia Platform.
When registering to test, select the Eligibility Route that best applies to you:
M1 - Kentucky State Approved Medication Assistant Trained Candidate
For candidates who have successfully Completion of a Kentucky Board of Nursing approved program with the completion of a 60-hour practicum. The application will require the candidate to select the medication aide training program from a drop-down menu and input the completion date. The testing application will be routed to the Training Program to confirm the candidate’s successful completion of their Medication Aide training course including course completion date.
M2 – Repeat Test Taker Kentucky Medication Aide Registry Applicants
For candidates who has failed the MACE exam twice or did not test within the 60-day timeframe from completion of the course and have successfully completed of a Kentucky Board of Nursing approved program with the completion of a 60-hour practicum.
The application will require the candidate to select the medication aide training program from a drop-down menu and input the completion date. The testing application will be routed to the Training Program to confirm the candidate’s successful completion of their Medication Aide training course including course completion date.
M3 Out of State Trained
Endorsement candidate from another state that did not take the MACE exam in KY.
This application will require the candidate to submit a copy of their current and active certification for state review and approval.
